GRANT PUBLIC LIBRARY

 

 
Grant Public Library has books for all ages! Including a collection of genealogy, Civil War and Alabama/Southern topic books. Books on CD and DVDs are also available for check out. Five Apple computers connected to the internet are available for use by library patrons. The library has two iPads and 10 Playaway Launch Pad tablets loaded with fun education games for use in the library.  Free Wi-Fi is also available.  Printing, fax and lamination services are available for a small fee.

 

The library sponsors the following activities for the community:

  • The Grant Civil War Round Table - 2nd Tuesday evening of every other month.

  • Children’s story time - every Wednesday at 10 a.m. (August-May)

  • Adult book club - 1st Tuesday of the month at 6:30p.m. (this group full-contact the Librarian about starting another group)

  • LEGO club - every Saturday at 12 noon

  • Summer reading program - every Tuesday in June at 1 p.m.

  • Elementary story time - every Tuesday in July at 1 p.m.

 

The library is located at 5379 Main Street. Hours are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.;  Wednesday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m.
